How It Works

The Jet Lag Adjustor is based on circadian rhythm research from the Sleep Research Society:

  1. Timezone delta: We calculate the hour difference between your departure and arrival zones. Eastward travel (losing hours) is harder than westward (gaining hours).
  2. Pre-shift schedule: Starting 3–7 days before travel, we gradually shift your bedtime and wake time toward destination time. The shift is proportional: 1 hour per day for eastward, 1.5 hours for westward.
  3. Light exposure guidance: Morning light advances your clock (good for eastward); evening light delays it (good for westward). The plan includes specific light timing.
  4. Meal timing: Your gut has its own circadian clock. We shift meal times alongside sleep to reinforce the rhythm change.

Export feature: The calendar export generates a standard .ics file compatible with Google Calendar, Outlook, and Apple Calendar. Each event includes your target bedtime and wake time for that day.
